Bill joined Mascoma as CEO in January 2010. Previously, Bill was Executive Vice President of Cabot Corporation, a specialty chemical company. Throughout his 23-year experience, he held numerous positions at Cabot in the United States and in Japan, including General Manager of the $1.5 billion Carbon Black business, which operates 23 manufacturing plants in 18 countries. In addition, he led the commercialization of two start-up businesses at Cabot in ink jet colorants and elastomer composites. Bill is an overseer at the Museum of Science in Boston, and a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Scranton. He also serves on the Boards of Directors of Mascoma and Mascoma's affiliate, Frontier Renewable Resources, LLC.
Bill is a graduate of the University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
