Dr. Harith Rajagopalan is co-founder and CEO of Fractyl Laboratories. He is a cardiologist and medical device entrepreneur. He has worked with General Catalyst since 2009 as an XIR. He has also served as a medical consultant to a GC portfolio company, DC Devices, where he advises the company in its preclinical research and development activities.
Harith received his B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University, where he gained a passion for both biomedical research and entrepreneurship. He went on to obtain MD and PhD degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Harith won the Michael A. Shanoff award for his findings in colorectal cancer genetics and published this work in top medical journals, such as Nature and Science. After medical school, Harith did internal medicine residency training and cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in stem cell biology before joining MedCatalyst as CEO.
