Fifty-plus Web users are already putting a surprising spin on “what’s hot” when it comes to the Web for 2007. Today, Cranky.com, the first age-relevant search engine, powered by Eons™, announced the top 10 most popular searches for January, revealing insights into what’s on the minds and at the fingertips of the 44 million adults over 50 on the Web.
According to January 2007 search volume on Cranky.com, careers after retirement, brain builders (staying mentally healthy), alternative health practices and even homesharing are all more popular than heiress, socialite and pop icon Paris Hilton. Searches for the term “homesharing” — shared living settings in which a large group of non-relatives live together — were six times more popular than Hilton, who tops the search term lists of most other search engines.

The top searches show that Boomers, true to their roots, continue to seek new ways to enjoy life, from homesharing to Reiki.
