Ping Identity Ships PingLogin 2

New Version Highlights Increasing Interest and Awareness in Internet Identity Management

RSA Conference, San Francisco, CA – February 6, 2007

Ping Identity Corporation today announced that Version 2 of its consumer authentication framework, PingLogin, is now available for download from its Web site, www.pingidentity.com. New features in PingLogin 2 include enhanced deployment, session management, clustering, interoperability and administration capabilities.

PingLogin is a next-generation user authentication and single sign-on framework for consumer-facing online services and Web applications. Designed to enable extensible and flexible deployments, PingLogin reduces the maintenance and development costs associated with existing access management implementations. Additionally, PingLogin’s integration interface enables agility to meet changing business and security demands.

Highlights of PingLogin 2 include a new servlet-filter based agent, new deployment options for enhanced security and deployment flexibility, improved clustering that allows PingLogin runtime servers to be deployed across both LANs and WANs, and enhanced logging. In addition, PingLogin 2 includes a new interoperability mode that creates synchronized sessions for a seamless user experience when PingLogin is deployed in parallel with an existing authentication solution.

“Phishing, pharming and identity theft all illustrate the need for better Internet-scale identity management”, said Fran Howarth, partner, Hurwitz & Associates. “This new product from Ping Identity highlights how B2C players should be looking at consumer authentication as an architectural issue.”

“Internet identity is rapidly evolving with the introduction of new authentication systems such as Windows CardSpace and OpenID”, said Andre Durand, CEO, Ping Identity. “PingLogin plays a key role as consumer-facing organizations add support for all these new identity mechanisms.”

Pricing and Availability
PingLogin 2 is now available and can be downloaded directly from the Ping Identity Web site at http://www.pingidentity.com. Organizations can use PingLogin for development, pilot testing and production deployment absolutely free for 90 days. Subscription-based and perpetual use licenses are available, as well as support agreements. Current PingLogin customers with active maintenance agreements can upgrade to PingLogin 2 at no additional cost.
