Black Duck Software, the leading global provider of software compliance management solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating the importance of “knowing your code” to attendees at the Game Developers Conference 2007, held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. During exhibition hall hours from March 7 through March 9, Black Duck will exhibit in booth 5101 NH.

Game developers are adopting newer models of software development that rely on the use of software components from a variety of sources, including proprietary and other third-party code sets, as well as re-use of components from other projects. These techniques make the development process more efficient and speed time to market. This model necessitates a platform, like Black Duck’s family of solutions, that will manage the policies governing the creation, distribution, deployment and commercial use of developed software code.
