Black Duck Software, the leading global provider of software compliance management solutions, today announced that Alan C. Facey has joined the company as executive vice president of international operations. Facey, a former Lumigent Technologies and Progress Software executive, is charged with overseeing Black Duck’s international sales activity and expanding channel partner relationships outside of North America.

Facey brings more than 25 years of experience building high-performance sales teams in start-ups and established software companies. Most recently, he was vice president of global sales and services at database auditing specialist Lumigent Technologies, where he established the sales and services organization and grew its worldwide sales by over 100 percent in under two years.

Prior to Lumigent, Facey was senior vice president of global sales and services for content management systems vendor ClearStory Systems and interim executive vice president of global sales and marketing at compliance solutions provider Obian. His successful career at application development and database leader Progress Software spanned nine years as vice president, Europe, Middle East & Africa operations, and later as vice president, North American operations and global channels. Facey’s background also includes international sales and general management roles at Cleanwise, Holistic Systems, Lucas Engineering & Systems and Metier Management Systems.
