"Start Your Engines" with Hands-On Mobile and LEGOŽ Racers

London, UK – February 28, 2007

Hands-On Mobile™, a leading global publisher of mobile lifestyle, games and personalisation products, today announced the launch of LEGO® Racers, a game based upon the popular LEGO construction toys of the same name. Developed and published in partnership with Kiloo and TT Publishing, LEGO Racers combines high octane car racing with intense combat.

LEGO Racers has a huge variety of different characters to choose from, power ups to collect and courses to race. Players get behind the wheel of a unique racing car, each with their own special powers based on favourite LEGO themes such as: Pirate, Dinosaur, Space, Construction and Arctic. Each of the 15 all-action track locations uniquely affects gameplay including ice, lava and sand. Other features include:

  • Win credits and upgrade your car between races including tyres, engine and nitro boost
  • Equip your car with weapons such as banana peel, oil slicks, missiles and electric shock
  • Dust and gravel sparks when the cars brake, skid, land, collide and fire weapons
  • Cars explode into a rain of LEGO building bricks

"We're delighted to be bringing yet another LEGO brand onto mobile phones," said Jonathan Sacks, CEO, Hands-On Mobile. "LEGO Racers is one of the LEGO Group's classic and best-selling sub-brands and with Christmas 2006 seeing the biggest ever Pan-European marketing campaign, LEGO Racers is set for unprecedented coverage."

"LEGO Racers is a fantastic way for the millions of LEGO fans around the world to experience LEGO play on their phone," said Garry Edwards, Business Development Director, TT Publishing. "The game leans on the fun and popularity of the LEGO Brand while still offering a highly involved racing experience from your mobile."

"Creating LEGO Racers for mobile phones has been enormous fun," said Jacob Moller, CEO, Kiloo. "Developing a unique car with independently moving wheels that skids around the track has really added to the gameplay and fun and underscores what the LEGO brand brings to gaming."
