New CFO Will Help Position Company for Growth

Cambridge, MA – May 21, 2007

BBN Technologies, an advanced technology solutions firm, has announced that Sean Lannan has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this position, Lannan will direct BBN's external financial activities and investments and execute capital-raising strategies to support BBN's growth.

Before joining BBN, Lannan was Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Polaroid Corporation, a $1 billion international consumer electronics and imaging company, where he led the corporate finance, banking, and investment management activities. Lannan, also, directed corporate administration of international pension plans, insurance, financial planning and analysis, and the 401(k) program, oversaw real estate holdings and supported corporate development activities. Prior to Polaroid, Lannan held senior management roles at Manufacturers’ Services Ltd., an electronics contract manufacturer, Telocity Inc., a broadband infrastructure services provider, and Lucent Technologies, a provider of telecommunications infrastructure. Lannan brings significant experience in strategic finance, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations to BBN.

Lannan earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science at Yale University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), and a member of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers, the Association for Financial Professionals, Financial Executives International, and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
