John E. Taylor, Jr. appointed Chief Executive Officer; Mark Herrmann Chief Operating Officer
GameLogic, Inc. a leading provider of casino player loyalty and customer relationship management products and services to the casino industry, today announced that John E. Taylor, Jr. has been named Chief Executive Officer and Mark Herrmann, Chief Operating Officer of the company.
Mr. Taylor, 40, who remains the company's President, replaces GameLogic Founder and serial entrepreneur Steven N. Kane, who will continue to work closely with management as a member of GameLogic's Board of Directors. Mr. Herrmann, 40, formerly the company's Senior Vice President for Operations and Product Management has been with the company since its inception and is directly responsible for the creation of, and on-going operation of, the company's products and services.
"I'm very proud and excited about what we created at GameLogic," said Mr. Kane. "As a veteran of several startups, it is extremely gratifying to see your innovations and products achieve market acceptance. I'm delighted to be able to have the continuing operations of our business managed by experienced professionals such as John and Mark, and I look forward to working with the company as it moves ahead into its next phase of success."
"John, Mark and their very talented team of designers and engineers are well-positioned to bring Steve Kane's vision to reality." said John Acres, Chairman of GameLogic's Board of Directors. "GameLogic's products allow casinos to engage their most valuable players, at home and at work, through the Internet in an entirely legal and entertaining way. Backed by an array of pending patents, I believe GameLogic will be even more important to the future of gambling than the bonusing products we developed at Acres Gaming."
Mr. Taylor joined GameLogic in March of 2006, from SnowMark Corporation, an early stage venture capital firm, where he served as managing partner. Prior to SnowMark, Mr. Taylor served as a member of the executive management committee and corporate vice president of GTECH Holdings Corporation, a then New York Stock Exchange traded company and the parent of GTECH Corporation, the leading provider of lottery services to governments around the world. While at GTECH, Mr. Taylor was the founder and chief executive officer of its gaming and entertainment subsidiary, which developed all of GTECH's non-lottery gaming businesses around the world including a number of racinos, Native American casinos and government sponsored video gaming operations. He graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Science degree, while maintaining the post of Special Assistant to the Governor of Rhode Island, a senior staff position.
Prior to joining GameLogic, Mr. Herrmann was Vice President, Direct Marketing and General Manager of Games at TerraLycos, SA, a global Internet company operating in 41 countries. Previously, he was the Vice President, Product & Operations of Gamesville, where he directed marketing and awareness campaigns that established Gamesville as the most popular games site on the Internet. Before joining Gamesville in May 1998, Mr. Herrmann was the Director of Interactive Marketing at The Phoenix Media/Communication Group (PMCG), a diversified Boston-based multimedia company with interests in newspaper publishing, broadcasting, and audio-text services.
