Impress Adds Web-Based Interface and Support for Microsoft Project 2007 in Impress for EPM 3.2

Waltham, MA – June 25, 2007

Impress Software, a leading provider of packaged integration applications, today announced the availability of Impress for EPM 3.2, the newest release of its flagship solution which introduces support for Microsoft Project 2007, a new web-based end-user tool, and packaged processes to support a combined SAP PS/PM integration scenario.

Impress for EPM integrates SAP with Microsoft Project and Primavera, eliminating the need to perform costly and time-consuming custom coding while ensuring that project stakeholders using either system are on the same page with accurate and timely information. Version 3.2 provides customers with additional out-of-the-box business processes to further streamline implementations and reduce an integration’s total cost of ownership.

“Impress continues to help customers get the most from their software investments by adding new features and support for the most recent applications,” said Warren Utt, CEO of Impress Software. “It’s an honor to be one of the few First-to-Market Partners for Microsoft Project 2007. By remaining in lock-step with our partners, we’re able to quickly deliver integration applications so our customers don’t have to custom-build their own.”
With support for Microsoft Project 2007 built into EPM 3.2, Microsoft’s 2007 customers can rest assured that their project management system will continue to work in concert with SAP’s PS and PM modules.

Additional features included with Impress for EPM 3.2 include:

  • New browser-based user interface: By adding an intuitive web-based tool that provides end-users, including project managers, project analysts and maintenance schedulers, with a simple interface to synchronize multiple projects and monitor synch results, Impress for EPM 3.2 improves productivity. Accessible from any computer within a company’s network, the tool also provides easy access to synch history and diagnostic information.
  • Support for combined SAP PS and PM business scenarios: Allows companies to plan and budget maintenance projects in SAP PS, define work in SAP PM, and schedule and execute projects using the project management system.

Impress for EPM 3.2 is available immediately through Impress Software at www.impress.com.
