Taleo Accelerates Global Talent Acquisition at InterContinental Hotels Group

Talent management provider Taleo helps hotel group improve speed and quality of hire to support business growth

Dublin, CA and Windsor, UK – July 5, 2007

Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ: TLEO), the leading provider of talent management solutions, today announced the successful implementation of Taleo Enterprise Edition, the industry leading talent management solution for large enterprises, with leading international hotel company, IHG (“InterContinental Hotels Group”).

Taleo has been working with IHG to improve the speed and effectiveness of its recruitment process in order to support its business growth strategy, particularly in the competitive Asian market. By automating the recruitment process, IHG can now acquire more high quality talent and effectively re-deploy existing staff to meet the needs of their expanding business.  The global solution was initially implemented across Asia in just three months and has since been deployed in Europe and the United States. The implementation has included the InterContinental brand of hotels, as well as the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza brands.

“The timely acquisition of high quality talent is a fundamental aspect of our business strategy, particularly for our rapidly expanding Asian business. We selected Taleo because of their track record in the hospitality industry and the Asian region, proven scalability and ability to meet the local needs of our Asian, European and US businesses on one platform,” said Jon Harding, senior vice president, Organizational Capability, IHG.

IHG is an international hotel company that focuses on seeing the world through the eyes of its customers. The group has 120 million guest nights every year. Consequently, its staff and the service they deliver are crucial to the success of the brand portfolio. IHG needed a talent management system that would enable it to build and manage its talent pipeline on a global basis, as well as providing the ability to continuously measure and improve the process. Working with Taleo has improved the speed and quality of hiring across the company.

Taleo senior vice president, international, Neil Hudspith comments, “In the hospitality industry, having the right staff is crucial. Our solution helps IHG cost-effectively attract, select and retain the best talent, while also providing visibility into any stage of the recruitment process. I am delighted that the success of the project in Asia has now led to further successful implementations in Europe and the US.”
