The events featured speakers and guests from across the mobile advertising value chain-including operators, content providers and advertising agencies-and served as an educational forum on topics ranging from how to target mobile consumers to best practices for delivering ads on mobile devices.

The Madrid event was the first of its kind in Spain and took place at the fashionable ME Madrid Reina Victoria. Key topics included the benefits of paid search and display advertising on operator portals and tactics to target consumers effectively and efficiently on the mobile phone. More than 100 guests attended, including delegates from Glu, MPG, BMW, Nokia, Gameloft, Hachette, Gigigo, Movilisto, Buongiorno, Warner Music, Initiative Digital, Universal McCann, Vivendi Games Mobile and WPP/GroupM.
Individual Madrid presentation titles included 'Real Mobile Marketing: the mass, interactive and personal,' by Carlos Carazo Cepedano, m-Payments and mobile marketing manager of Telefónica España; 'The market is now: How to effectively incorporate mobile into advertising campaigns,' by Adam Soroca, general manager and vice president of search and advertising services, and Gonzalo Figares, advertising sales director, both from JumpTap; and an exciting panel discussion on mobile advertising, moderated by Manuel Dios, client services director for MC Mobi. Panel members included Samuel Martinez, marketing communications, Internet and new media manager for BMW; Borja Marinas, general director of marketing services for Buongiorno; Houssain Elguertit, B2C marketing manager for Gameloft; and Pilar Ulecia, general director of MEC:Interaction.

The event began with opening remarks from Mr. Olschwang and Larry Weber, Chairman of the W2 Group, followed by a presentation from John Montgomery, CEO of Mindshare Interaction Worldwide. Additional talks focused on how to target mobile customers. The New York event also concluded with an advertiser panel. Panel members included Derek Fulford, search marketing manager for The Weather Channel Interactive; Solomon Masch, director of emerging media for MTV Networks Digital Advertising & Business Development division; Jason Cianchette, director of products for Mocospace; and Chris Phenner, vice president of business development for Thumbplay.
