QuickPlay Media Powers the Debut of Video on Alltel Wireless’ Celltop Service

OpenVideo™ Platform Enables Alltel Subscribers to Stream Video On-Demand via Celltop for First Time

Toronto, ON – November 6, 2007

QuickPlay Media, the leader in mobile TV and video solutions, today announced that Alltel Wireless (NYSE: AT) has deployed QuickPlay’s OpenVideo™ platform to power Celltop’s new streaming video capabilities. To introduce the service, Alltel is offering four new video cells that offer the latest entertainment, horoscopes, extreme sports and wellness content from NBC, MTV, E!, Gaiam and other sources.  The launch of Celltop’s video-on-demand service further establishes QuickPlay in the U.S. market and follows the company’s expansion of its global presence with new offices in San Francisco and London.

“The delivery of streaming video content through QuickPlay’s OpenVideo platform will enable Alltel to provide excellent content to customers enjoying the popular Celltop service,” said Wayne Purboo, CEO and co-founder of QuickPlay Media. “Successful carrier implementations of mobile media services, such as Alltel’s Celltop, are fueling QuickPlay’s momentum for continued expansion and success worldwide.”

Alltel’s Celltop is an award-winning technology that mimics the capabilities of a desktop PC with easy access, organization and control of content on wireless devices. Launched in January 2007, the company now offers 15 cells comprised of graphics and text that provide shortcuts for wireless users to navigate through aggregated information and applications.

“Customers love Celltop because it enables them to access relevant and exciting content more easily than ever before,” said Scott Moody, director of data services for Alltel Wireless. “The addition of video-on-demand to Celltop marks a significant milestone in our continuing commitment to deliver innovative and advanced services to the marketplace.”

QuickPlay’s OpenVideo platform powers mobile video services for 11 major mobile operators in North America, providing both live and on-demand content from more than 150 different media companies. Key features of the QuickPlay service delivery platform include a superior content management system, advanced reporting and analytics to manage mediation and settlement, open APIs for ease of partner integration and advanced service delivery capabilities.
