August 16, 2006

WALTHAM, MA - August 16, 2006 - GameLogic, Inc., a provider of new-media strategies and solutions to the gaming industry, today announced that John F. Acres has been named chairman of the Company's Board of Directors. An inventor, entrepreneur and serial start-up CEO, Mr. Acres' numerous contributions to the gaming industry include the modern progressive jackpot system and player tracking technologies. Recently, Mr. Acres has been conducting research and development on new-media casino games and promotions.

Currently, Mr. Acres is the founder and chairman of Acres Concepts, which develops intellectual property for the casino industry. In 1990, he founded Acres Gaming, where he developed and patented concepts and technologies related to bonusing and player tracking, implemented by Anchor Gaming, IGT (NYSE: IGT), Bally (NYSE: BYI), Aristocrat (ASX: ALL), as well as at leading casino properties worldwide. IGT purchased Acres Gaming in 2003. Prior to that, Mr. Acres co-founded Mikohn Inc., now called Progressive Gaming International Corporation (NASDAQ: PGIC), where he developed the progressive slot machine jackpot system that has become a core fixture in casinos worldwide. Earlier, as president and founder of Electronic Data Technology (EDT), Mr. Acres invented the modern slot player tracking system, which he sold to casinos worldwide. EDT was sold to IGT in 1985. Mr. Acres also founded the Gaming Standards Association (GSA), an industry standards organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

"We're delighted that he agrees with GameLogic's vision of bringing new-media strategies, solutions and players to US gaming operators, and we're looking forward to his contributions to this exciting venture."

"John joins our board at a very exciting time for GameLogic," said GameLogic CEO Steven Kane, "With increasing regulation of US Internet gambling, gaming operators are seeking legal ways to employ web-based games and promotions to drive new-market revenues. John's expertise in this areas will be highly valuable."

"I align myself, through guidance or investment, with innovative companies that develop promotional gaming concepts," said John Acres. "GameLogic has developed an intriguing formula to bring new-media in a regulatory-compliant way to the gaming industry in a time when many operators are not aware it is possible."
