ITA Software Picks Eight Finalists for Boston's IT Battle of the Bands

Tech Community Will Compete on June 26 at Middle East

Boston, MA – June 10, 2006

ITA Software, a fast-growing technology company founded by computer scientists from MIT, today announced its line-up of eight bands for Boston's First IT Band Bash. Taking place on Monday, June 26 at 8 p.m. at the Middle East Downstairs at 472/480 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, this Battle of the Bands will bring together a wide range of musicians with ties to the technology community for a night filled with good music and a great competition.

After receiving more than 60 band entries, ITA Software narrowed down the finalists to the following bands who will compete:

* Three Day Threshold * Francis Kim Band * My Flash On You * Nicole Russo * Colin Green Band * Lizzie Borden Band * Hepburn * Joe Turner and the Seven Levels

Sponsored by WBCN, Mass High Tech, Middle East, Jamspot, Daddy's Junky Music and fama PR, the night will include special performances from ITA Software's own Wendi Faren, South 16 and Kalaallit Nunaat. Additionally, DJ Adam 12 and the WBCN street team will be in attendance, giving away prizes throughout the night.

The competition will allot 20 minutes to each band. Winners will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges: Dave Wildman, arts editor of Weekly Dig, music writer glenn mcdonald, music promoter Ralph Jaccodine and Russell Ferrante, Grammy-winning member of the jazz group Yellowjackets.

"With the overwhelming response we received from bands interested in participating, we know that this event is going to be a blast," said Cara Kretz, VP Marketing of ITA Software. "We are happy that the local IT community is as excited about this event as we are.

Prizes include gift certificates to Daddy's Junky Music and recording sessions and other services from JamSpot. For more information on the event, the participating bands and the prizes for each winning band, please go to www.itabattleofthebands.com
