Verizon SuperPages On the Go Now Gets Listings, Movie Times, Weather via SMS on Verizon Wireless Phones

DALLAS – September 14, 2005

Get the weather report for Friday night’s football game or find where that new movie is playing, using Verizon SuperPages On the Go’s new Short Message Service (SMS). Using a Verizon Wireless phone, text messagers can get movie show times, weather forecasts and reverse number look up, in addition to residential and business phone numbers and addresses.

Just send a text message from a TXT messaging-capable Verizon Wireless phone to S-U-P-E-R (78737) and enter the ZIP code for weather, or the landline phone number to see who just called. Or enter the movie, business or resident’s name and the selected area (city/state or ZIP code) to locate them or get the phone number.

The first two queries are free. Subsequent queries are 30 cents each, with no monthly access charges.

“SMS is the language that our young people use to communicate,” said Eric Chandler, vice president — E-commerce marketing. “With our SMS technology, teens and young adults can get the information they need by sending a simple query using their Verizon Wireless phone.”

This new offering is powered by m-Qube, a Boston-area mobile technology provider and leading mobile channel enabler that helps companies develop, deliver and bill for mobile content, messaging and applications. More information is available at sms.superpages.com.
