GQ Continues Digital Integration and Teams with m-Qube to Launch "GQ Mobile"

GQ to offer mobile users instant access to original content, sweepstakes and gear

New York, NY and Boston MA – February 27, 2006

GQ, the premier men’s lifestyle magazine, announced today it has teamed with m-Qube, North America’s leading mobile-channel enabler, to launch “GQ Mobile,” an “on-the-go” extension of the monthly magazine. “GQ Mobile” will give readers anytime, anywhere access to GQ’s singular “style authority” content directly on their wireless handsets. With the March launch of “GQ Mobile,” GQ continues its foray into developing original digital content, complimenting its Web site and weekly podcast offerings, and steps into the vanguard of U.S. magazines reaching readers through the mobile channel, a mature, monetized channel with over 200 million U.S. subscribers, surpassing even U.S. Internet users.

In March, mobile users can gain instant access to GQ VIP events, a “first look” at shopping nights, private sales and giveaways, text-to-win sweepstakes and must-have gear, gadgets and grooming information. Users can start receiving the GQ-branded content and enter the first text-to-win sweepstakes by texting the keyword “GQ” to the m-Qube-administered short code GQMAG (47624). Sweepstakes winners will receive a new Apple iPod.

“Marketers are looking to make multiple connections with consumers, and ’GQ Mobile’ is an exciting delivery channel,” explained Peter King Hunsinger, vice president and publisher of GQ. “Not only can GQ readers receive original magazine-related content, but they can interact with an advertiser’s message in a powerful, new manner. m-Qube has been an excellent partner throughout this process, helping us execute and advance our mobile channel strategy."

GQ turned to m-Qube’s Mobile Studio platform to power “GQ Mobile.” m-Qube’s Mobile Studio enables brands and ad agencies to deliver mobile content and execute interactive messaging programs across all North American wireless carrier networks. m-Qube’s carrier-grade mobile marketing solution contains all the key components necessary to quickly bring to market subscription and transaction revenue-generating SMS, MMS, J2ME, BREW™, WAP, instant messaging and IVR application services.

“'GQ Mobile’ demonstrates the power of combining high-impact media with the intimacy and immediacy of a mobile direct response vehicle,” said Mike Troiano, General Manager, Interactive for m-Qube. “We’re proud to help GQ reach its readers in this innovative manner.”

The first “GQ Mobile” Text-to-Win Sweepstakes, launching on all carriers by the end of February, will run through the end of March. GQ will administer the selection of winners in April, and winners will be notified via text message. For more information go to http://www.gqmag.com or text the keyword “GQ” to GQMAG (47624) to participate.
