QuickPlay Media Inc., a leading provider of personalized mobile media experiences, announced today the first round of media partners for its QuickPlayer for BlackBerry® application at the CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment Conference. The QuickPlayer for BlackBerry is the first application to deliver streamed audiocasts to BlackBerry devices. QuickPlayer for BlackBerry users have easy access to business and finance updates, as well as news, entertainment and health and sports information.
The QuickPlayer for BlackBerry is now available to telecommunications carriers internationally. The player provides streamed audiocasts (similar to podcasts), of approximately five minutes, from top-tier media companies and providers including: ABC News, AccuWeather.com, Clear Channel, Gaiam,MarketWatch.com, The Wall Street Journal and Westwood One.

QuickPlay Media developed the player by combining proprietary streaming technology with advanced audio codecs natively supported in the BlackBerry 8700 Series™, BlackBerry Pearl™ and BlackBerry 7130 Series™ devices from Research In Motion® (Nasdaq: RIMM). The result — high-quality audio files that require no downloading time.
