Description

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to negotiate a single-source contract award with Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc. for the acquisition of up to eight (8) TSA Certified Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) Reveal CT-80 for Pilot and Operational Testing.

The work under this contract shall include but not be limited to project start-up; project management; risk management planning; quality management planning; meetings and reporting; and project closure.     The contract objective is to conduct a pilot program of the Reveal CT-80 EDS System at selected commercial service airports throughout the United States and its Territories using up to eight (8) systems.     Each of the pilot programs will screen airline passenger?s checked baggage to determine the operational status of the subject system.

The TSA is negotiating this single-source contract in order to perform an operational evaluation of one (1) product of the ongoing Next Generation EDS programs during the pilot's period of performance.     The subject piece of equipment (Reveal CT-80) is one of those emerging products, which were previously subject to a competitive acquisition.    

The TSA anticipates a twelve (12) month period of performance, with an expected award date of February 2005.
