Top Brands Including Calphalon, Cuisinart, KitchenAid and Krups Available Immediately

November 8, 2001

BOSTON, Nov. 8, 2001 – SmartBargains today announced the acquisition and sale of the remaining inventory from the “Today Builds a House” segment partner, OurHouse.com, from NBC’s “Today” show. The gourmet kitchen and housewares items from OurHouse.com, which recently ceased operations, are now available on SmartBargains.com at the new “Chef's Boutique” in the Home Section.

The newly added inventory, which includes brands such as Calphalon, Cuisinart, KitchenAid and Krups, will be on sale at an average of 40-60% off the retail price. This sale will include over 400 items from kitchen gadgets, cookware, and bakeware, to stemware, kitchen electrics, cutlery, and serve ware. The sale, which will offer all items at discounted prices ranging from $9.99 to $199.99, will feature many items that traditionally never go on sale.

“We constantly seek out the best possible deals for our customers and are thrilled to be making these amazing houseware offerings available,” said Carl Rosendorf, SmartBargains CEO. “At SmartBargains we’re committed to having fantastic deals everyday. As the holidays get closer, we look forward to providing even more compelling reasons to visit our site time and again.”
