TotalMove’s Latest Program Provides Product and Service Providers with Access to Pre-Movers

Shelton, Connecticut - April 14, 2006 - In the world of consumer goods and services, new homeowners have long been a key target market. But for some merchants, reaching consumers once they’ve already moved in is just too late. It is with this group of merchants in mind that TotalMove had launched its Partner Marketing Program. The program offers a variety of on and off-line vehicles designed to maximize exposure to consumers who are in the process of buying a new home but haven’t yet closed and consumers who are within 30 days of their real estate closing.

Research indicates that consumers who are in the process of moving spend on average over $7,000 during the 3 months surrounding their move, excluding the costs involved in the move itself:

• Movers spend more while in the process through the first three months after moving than non-movers spend in a four year period.

• Movers immediately reconnect utilities and establish local purchasing patterns and loyalties during this short window of time

• Movers are credit-worthy and may have funds available from the sale of their previous home, making big-ticket items affordable and possible to purchase.

• Movers take pride in their new homes and are interested in goods and services that improve it.

TotalMove’s Partner Marketing Program includes inserts in their “Welcome Package” which is sent to consumers once they begin working with TotalMove and also in their “Closing Package” which is sent to consumers within 30 days of their closing.
