Venetica to Highlight Joint IBM Solution that Extends the Reach of DB2 Information Integrator to Disparate Content Sources at IDUG 2004

Charlotte, N.C. and Orlando, Fla., Venetica, the leading provider of enterprise content integration (ECI) software, today announced that it will be exhibiting and speaking at IBM’s IDUG 2004 – May 9, 2004

North America Conference being held in Orlando from May 9-13, 2004.

Bobby White, Venetica’s vice president of engineering, will present a session entitled “Integrating Enterprise Content and Data” on Monday, May 10 from 2:05 to 3:15 p.m. in the Grand XIV room. The session will detail how applications, such as military intelligence, customer service and compliance require real-time federated access to all enterprise information — both structured and unstructured. Discussion will focus on leveraging disparate sources of documents, images, reports and associated workflows in enterprise applications. Customer examples illustrating Venetica’s VeniceBridge Wrapper for DB2 Information Integrator will be highlighted.

Venetica recently announced a technology and co-marketing agreement with IBM that delivers the industry’s most robust solution for working with structured and unstructured information, extending the reach of business applications that utilize IBM DB2 Information Integrator and IBM DB2 Content Manager to leverage content from more than twenty common content repositories supported by VeniceBridge. Venetica solutions support a broad range of IBM technologies, including the WebSphere application server platform; IBM DB2 Content Manager and Lotus Domino.Doc for managing and archiving critical digitized content; IBM DB2 Content Manager OnDemand for formatted computer output; Lotus Notes for collaborative information and knowledge management; and IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow for enterprise-wide business processes. Venetica’s technology has been deployed in IBM customer environments on multiple IBM operating systems including AIX, Linux and zOS.
