(NYSE: MFE) today announced that SiteAdvisor, McAfee's Web safety software, achieved a significant milestone in August, answering on average more than 100 million unique Web safety queries every day. When a McAfee® SiteAdvisor^TM user surfs to a site or uses a search engine, the consumer's browser queries the SiteAdvisor database for each site's safety rating. These ratings are intuitively displayed as red, yellow and green icons and represent the results of SiteAdvisor's extensive tests for spam, spyware, exploits and online scams. The icons help consumers make safer click decisions.
