Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, HIT is building a next-generation clinical informatics business that will syndicate longitudinal patient records from various providers and leverage its proprietary technology to provide statistical healthcare information services into three types of customers. Healthcare providers will use this service to improve their quality of care with real time dashboards; financial services companies will leverage this as market research to understand the market positions of various pharmaceutical products; and pharmaceutical companies will leverage this information to direct their research efforts in lifecycle management of various drugs. HIT will sell packaged information services into these three markets, which collectively represent $5 billion of annual market opportunity. Hemant Taneja is on the Board of Directors.
