Clayton focuses on investments in new and existing technology businesses.

Clayton joined General Catalyst from Citigroup Global Markets in New York. He was an investment banking analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Global Chemicals groups, providing advisory services in corporate mergers and capital markets transactions.

Prior to Citigroup, Clayton was an Associate at HarbourVest Partners in Boston, where he evaluated primary and secondary investment opportunities in venture capital, leveraged buyout, and subordinated debt partnerships.

Clayton received a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College, with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance.
