As a Special Venture Partner at General Catalyst Partners, Terry Jones focuses on identifying new investment opportunities for General Catalyst in the areas of travel and leisure, transportation and e-commerce. Terry also works with the firm's existing portfolio companies on strategic partnerships and business development.

Prior to joining General Catalyst, Terry founded Travelocity.com, a pioneer in the online travel space. Jones led Travelocity.com as President and CEO from its founding until May 2002. In March 2000, Terry took Travelocity.com public (TSG).

Prior to his role as president and CEO of Travelocity.com, Terry was chief information officer of Sabre, Inc. In his 24 years at Sabre, Terry served at the executive level in various roles, including president of decision technologies, vice president of applications development and vice president of product development.

Terry helps travel related companies improve their digital marketing efforts and makes frequent appearances as a keynote speaker and on major television news stations to comment on trends in e-commerce and travel. He serves on the Board of Directors of Entrust, Inc., and Overture Services, Inc.

Terry is a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
