George Fazio

CEO, Corvia Medical

George has held leadership positions in the medical device field for twenty-five years. He was at St. Jude Medical, Inc. from 1992-2009 was he had numerous roles of increasing responsibility.

Most recently George was the President of the U.S. Division responsible for the sale, promotion, and distribution of all St. Jude Medical products with the exception of neuromodulation. George was President of the Cardiac Surgery Division from August 2004 until September of 2006 when he led the integration with the Cardiology Division and then served as the President of the newly formed Cardiovascular Division until January 2008. He and his family moved to Brussels, Belgium in July 2001 to become President of St. Jude Medical Europe responsible for all St. Jude Medical products and activity. In 2003, responsibilities for this position were expanded to include Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He served as President, Health Care Services for St. Jude Medical and was responsible for creating the National Accounts function and for managing cross-divisional contracting opportunities. In 1996 George moved to Toronto, Canada to assume the position of General Manager of St. Jude Medical Canada, Inc. responsible for all St. Jude products in Canada. His first position at St. Jude was the New York/NJ/CT sales territory manager. Prior to St. Jude Medical George served as Cardiovascular Product Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Training and Sales Representative of the Davis & Geck Division of American Home Products beginning in 1984.

George holds a B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Harith Rajagopalan

Co-Founder & CEO, Fractyl Laboratories

Dr. Harith Rajagopalan is Co-Founder and CEO of Fractyl Laboratories. He is a cardiologist and medical device entrepreneur. He has worked with General Catalyst since 2009 as an XIR. He has also served as a medical consultant to a GC portfolio company, Corvia Medical, where he advises the company in its preclinical research and development activities.

Harith received his B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University, where he gained a passion for both biomedical research and entrepreneurship. He went on to obtain MD and PhD degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Harith won the Michael A. Shanoff award for his findings in colorectal cancer genetics and published this work in top medical journals, such as Nature and Science. After medical school, Harith did internal medicine residency training and cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in stem cell biology before joining Fractyl as CEO.
