GC is thrilled to share the Series B of Nova Credit and to continue supporting the company as they build the cross-border consumer credit reporting bureau of tomorrow.

We first met Misha and Nicky when they were graduate students at Stanford. They both had experienced the pain of not having access to financial products and services when they emigrated to the U.S. And, they both understood the immigrant story — one of perseverance, drive and reimagining a better world. And that spirit powers everything at Nova, including a core focus on the newcomer’s needs and experience.

Starting as a student project a few years ago, Nova Credit now supports newcomers from 12 countries including Australia, Canada, India, Mexico and the UK.

In October, Nova launched a seminal partnership with American Express that allows newcomers to apply for American Express cards using their international credit data, an experience that was not possible before Nova Credit.

But most importantly, Nova is reimagining financial inclusion for all newcomers by building bridges that link credit data across the world. We’re proud to continue supporting this extraordinary (and rapidly growing!) team as they build a future of financial inclusion for all newcomers.
