CHRO & Executive Talent
People are sometimes surprised to learn that I was a dancer before entering the corporate world. To me, there are many parallels. Dancing requires focus, discipline and hard work, and every performance is meticulously choreographed to produce a specific effect. In business, every ambitious, growing organization needs to give high performers a well-designed framework for achieving their goals.
I started my career at American Express in Risk Management and Operations, and eventually transitioned to my calling: human resources. During my years with Amex, I provided HR partnership and expertise in the areas of: executive recruitment and talent planning; succession analysis; international HR & global employee relations; training & development; diversity & inclusion; organization effectiveness; mergers & acquisitions; and global leadership development.
I joined General Catalyst because of the people and the culture. I had the privilege of meeting everyone in the firm before I started and was inspired by their energy, potential, mission, and values. At many investment firms, HR is synonymous with recruiting. Our team is comprised of incredibly talented, ambitious individuals whose expectations go far beyond recruitment – deservedly so and with nothing but upside!
I was born in Rome, raised in the U.S., and have worked in Asia and Europe. My parents were immigrants who instilled in me that anything is possible if you want it and work for it hard enough. That experience drives me to give back in multiple arenas: dance companies, protection for animals, and the development of future HR leaders through the CHRO Board Academy and the Wharton Financial Services Group. If I’m not in a meeting or at an event, you might find me working out at Bar Method or running in the great outdoors with my husband, Steven.
