At General Catalyst, Rey Pascual specializes in investing in growth-stage businesses as a member of the Health Assurance team. He’s passionate about partnering with companies to accelerate their next phase of expansion, building on a strong foundation of sustainable unit economics and proven product-market fit.

Rey began his career in investment banking at Centerview Partners, where he worked as an industry generalist alongside some of the world's leading consumer goods, industrial, media and healthcare companies on both strategy and transaction execution. He was particularly drawn to healthcare due to the diversity of business models and vast opportunity to build enduring businesses while simultaneously improving patient care. This led him to start his growth investing career at General Atlantic in New York. At GA, he spent time across a diverse set of payor and provider assets focused on expanding patient access to better, lower cost care.

Rey joined General Catalyst to further explore his interest in how technology can transform traditional healthcare business models and revolutionize care delivery in the US. He is deeply committed to partnering with our early-stage team to support businesses throughout their life cycle. For him, a role driven by curiosity, intellectual honesty and tackling the unknown is a constant source of fulfillment.

He is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, went to college at Harvard and now lives in downtown Manhattan. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, leather craft, watching the Braves, and cooking with his wife.
