Sharon Choe
HR & Executive Talent

Based in San Francisco, I lead Internal Talent initiatives at General Catalyst, focused on learning & development, performance management, and inclusion, as well as serving as an HR business partner. As someone who has always been fascinated by what unlocks human potential and drives team performance, I was immediately drawn to GC’s ambitious mission, values, collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, and the growth mindset instilled in its people. I look forward to supporting the next stage of growth for the firm by strengthening our pipeline of exceptional talent and ensuring we have the capabilities to win.
Prior to joining GC, I held a variety of HR leadership roles at Dropbox, including talent management, workforce planning, HR operations & technology, chief of staff, HR business partner, and inclusion. I started my career at Merrill Lynch in learning & development for the investment banking division. I then joined Deloitte Consulting, where I advised clients across a range of industries on their human capital and change management strategies, before transitioning into internal global HR roles at Deloitte. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to scale organizations, support transformations, drive culture change, navigate the future of work, and develop the next generation of leaders.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Psychology and earned my MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. I also recently completed an executive education program with Cornell University’s Center for Advanced Human Resources Studies. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, performing arts, discovering new restaurants and wineries, and spending time with my niece and nephews.
