As the child of immigrant parents, I grew up in a small Florida town, and they constantly reminded that the world was much bigger than the place we called home. They pushed me to think globally and be open to concepts that might sound foreign or unfamiliar.

That perspective shaped my curiosity early on. I explored everything I could -- picking up musical instruments like the violin and piano, playing sports like tackle football, and building Lego Mindstorm robots. However, I was most impacted by the internet -- a space where I could learn, experiment, and hang out with my friends far beyond the physical world that surrounded me. It was portal to discover the most exciting innovations and realize they were happening elsewhere, away from home.

I became fascinated by how businesses operate not just in the U.S. but worldwide. I attended Georgetown University, where I threw myself into new challenges, whether it was being the captain of the varsity men's rowing team, joining a crypto startup, running a moving business, or working at a coffee shop. I wanted to experience the world from as many angles as possible to better understand how it functions.

After graduation, I joined Goldman Sachs on the COO team for Consumer & Wealth Management, where I got a front-row seat at a Wall Street institution trying to build something entirely new. I learned about the complexities around operating at scale, the tension between legacy and innovation, and what it takes to execute ambitious ideas. Most importantly, I realized that people are at the core of making enduring, ambitious visions a reality.

Now, at General Catalyst, I'm drawn to ideas that alter the trajectory of what's supposed to happen. I get excited about the early signs of "meiosis" or "mutations" happening in consumer, user, or organizational behavior. In other words, I love to study new sectors or verticals that take a behavior observably true in the present and converge it with something drastically new to form a new reality. When the environment for this is present, it energizes me to see something that started in a small tight-knit community, slowly builds momentum over time, and explodes to become an "overnight" success that was actually built over decades of small wins.

In my free time, I enjoy learning about the history of watches, creating communities, and cooking.
