I’m an investor at General Catalyst, a venture capital firm that partners with founders from seed through growth stages and beyond to build companies that withstand the test of time. At GC, I'm focused on driving our AI & Infra investing across Europe. As a software-engineer-turned-investor, you'll still find me picking up new tools/infra, building my own projects on weekends (currently building my own chess engine), and writing about the infra that I'm particularly excited about on my technical blog (mack.work).
Prior to joining GC I was an Investor at Tapestry VC in London, where I led many of our investments across AI, Infra and Cybersecurity, including in companies like: Tracebit, Maze, Keycard, Flox and Oleria. I was fortunate to start my career at VMware in Palo Alto, which is where I first learned about "VC" (not to mention ESXi and vSphere fundamentals, of course).
I graduated from Northeastern University (BS, International Business) & Dublin City University (BA, in Global Business) through a dual degree program. Boston is a wonderful city, particularly with an Irish accent.
Away from work, I like playing/watching rugby, electric guitar, anime, chess, bouldering, and just generally being humbled by picking up new things.
