Ashley Paston

Born into a family with strong entrepreneurial roots, I witnessed early on the power of compounding dedication and resilience. I attended Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. I began my career at McKinsey in their Strategy & Corporate Finance group, where I gained early exposure to some of the best companies across the globe. It was there that I was able to codify the underpinnings of what drives generational companies. I then spent the better part of the last decade at venture firms - first at Bain Capital Ventures and then at Meritech.

I joined General Catalyst as a Partner excited to back the next generation of enterprise software companies. I am excited to work with founders who approach the world with a strong sense of curiosity, peeling back the layers of markets and having the tenacity to shape the world in accordance with their vision. Outside of work, I love any form of live entertainment (concerts, art exhibits, stand up, musicals), board games, wandering through new neighborhoods, and testing out my pain threshold while rooting for the NY Jets.
