I am the Vice President of Public Policy for Healthcare at the General Catalyst Institute. I've always been fascinated by the intersection of healthcare and technology, and particularly by how policy can either enable or inhibit innovation that improves people's lives.
I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and studied Public Policy at Georgia Tech. After college, I spent more than eight years in the United States Senate, where policy became much more than theory for me. I held key health policy roles with Senator David Perdue (now U.S. Ambassador to China), on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, and the Senate Finance Committee, where I led the Medicaid portfolio overseeing reforms for the program that serves over 70 million Americans. I saw firsthand how the rules we write shape what's possible in healthcare.
What drew me from the Senate to the General Catalyst Institute was the opportunity to work at the front lines of healthcare innovation: to help shape policies that don't just react to technology but actively enable it to reach the people who need it most. At GCI, I lead healthcare policy initiatives and coordinate federal engagement for GC's health assurance investment portfolio. I work closely with Congress and federal agencies including HHS, CMS, FDA, and ARPA-H to advance policy priorities and support portfolio companies as they navigate federal opportunities and regulatory requirements.
My mom is French, so I grew up speaking fluent French and developed a love for traveling and cooking. I'm based in Washington, DC, where I live with my husband, Stuart.
