Chris Wolfe
I am the Chief Investment Officer for GC Wealth, where I focus on identifying high-conviction themes across public and private markets to serve the founders, entrepreneurs, and families across the GC Famiglia. I work to develop tactical allocation views and source opportunities that align with our endurance mindset, helping our clients navigate the complexities of long-term wealth creation.
My career has been a series of chapters in rigor and resilience. I spent over thirty-five years in private wealth management, including as the Chief Investment Officer at First Republic Private Wealth Management, where I built the research and investment platform that became the backbone of the firm’s advisory experience. Prior to that, I led the Chief Investment Office for ultra-high-net-worth clients at Merrill Lynch and served as the Global Head of Equities for the JPMorgan Private Bank. Each of these roles taught me that the best investment thinking doesn't come from having all the answers, but from the humility to ask better questions.
I joined GC Wealth because I believe in the power of radical collaboration and putting the client relationship ahead of everything else. I earned my BS from the University of Rhode Island and my MBA from Columbia Business School, and I hold both the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Outside of work, I am guided by a lesson my mother taught me: that we always make time for what is important. For me, that means prioritizing presence and lifelong learning. I enjoy spending time with my family, staying curious about emerging market shifts, and ensuring I’m showing up prepared for the people counting on me.
