James Wilcox is a Wealth Manager at GC Wealth based in Jackson Hole, WY. At GC Wealth, James manages investment portfolios for clients with the fiduciary standard of offering only independent advice. In GC Wealth’s multi-family office structure, James advises on liquidity management and longer-term tax and estate strategies.

Prior to joining General Catalyst, James worked at First Republic Investment Management in Los Angeles, CA and Jackson, WY from 2018 until 2023 and at Goldman Sachs in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA from 1999 until 2018. James also served as the Press Secretary to US House Ways and Means Chairperson Bill Archer of Texas from 1995 to 1998. James graduated from Middlebury College in 1994 and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2000. 

Outside of work, James is Board Chair of non-Profit Coombs Outdoors, Board Chair of the Jackson Hole Community School, and a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder for Jackson Hole EMS. He and his wife Lindsay have four children and two dogs, a French Bulldog (Hazel) and a Great Dane (Odie).
