People who know me from my time on Capitol Hill, in the Navy Reserve, or at the intersection of defense policy and emerging technology might think of me as a strategist and operator. But I’ve always seen myself as a builder—of policy, of trust, and of long-term advantage for the U.S. and its allies. My career has spanned the legislative branch, executive agencies, and private sector, where I’ve helped shape how our country leverages technology to secure the future.
I joined General Catalyst to lead our national security portfolio—bringing together founders, policymakers, and operators to accelerate mission-driven innovation. My focus is on dual-use technologies, strategic engagement with government, and building the connective tissue between innovation and Washington, D.C. Whether it’s AI, advanced manufacturing, or defense systems, I look for opportunities where capital, policy, and leadership can multiply each other’s impact.
Most recently, I served as a Senior Advisor to the Chairman and Professional Staff Member on the House Intelligence Committee, where I led oversight and legislation on technology and innovation issues. I’ve also worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and served in uniform, giving me a deep understanding of how national priorities are set—and where innovation often gets stuck, because I’ve felt it.
I earned my undergraduate degree from George Mason University, continue to serve in the Navy Reserve and the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department. Outside of work, I’m an avid Philadelphia sports fan, enjoy staying physically active while golfing poorly, and prioritize time with my wife Laura, family, and friends.
