Niranjan Ramamurthy

At General Catalyst, I’m a Senior Associate on GC’s Creation team, which focuses on incubations, transformations, and venture buyouts.

Before joining GC, I was an investment associate at Sumeru Equity Partners, where I focused on enterprise software. I evaluated a wide range of investment opportunities across the software sector and supported transactions including take-privates, refinancings, and add-on acquisitions. I also worked closely with portfolio companies on growth initiatives and strategic M&A.

Earlier in my career, I was an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs, advising on transactions across the technology and software landscapes.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, I’ve been surfing for 15 years, have competed at Spikeball Nationals, and enjoy spending time on the golf course.
