Priya Mohan
Investment Team

I am a partner at General Catalyst - India, a venture capital firm that partners with founders from seed through growth stages and beyond to build companies that withstand the test of time. At GC, along with Neeraj Arora, I lead India investments & creation opportunities by partnering with and co-creating transformative companies that would play a significant role in the economy. I focus on all opportunities in India and am based out of Bangalore.
I joined GC via its merger with Venture Highway (VH), a leading seed firm in India, in which I played a pivotal role in growing and building the brand. Prior to the merger, I was a Managing Partner at VH and am a Board member in many of its marquee companies across sectors. Before my career as an investor, I co-founded Vidyartha in 2012, an EdTech platform for students in grades 6-12, which I ran for six years before successfully exiting to Byju’s in 2016 – a leading Indian EdTech player. In 2016, I was a state guest of the United States for the coveted IVLP program (International Visitors Leadership Program) along with edupreneurs and educators from 18 countries.
Before entering my entrepreneurial journey, I spent 9 years working as an investment banker and equity research analyst, where I helped high-growth companies raise private equity, structure & execute complex transactions across private investments, secondary sales, and buyouts.
I am a chartered accountant and a Management Graduate from the Indian School of Business (ISB). I am also a trained danseuse in Bharatnatyam, an Indian Classical dance form, and have performed for over 13 years across India with top artists. I am a recipient of a few accolades in the field. I was recently admitted to the highly coveted Kamalnayan Bajaj Aspen Fellowship to its tenth cohort.
