I’m Siddhant, and I’m on the investment team at General Catalyst, India, focusing on early-stage software and AI across enterprise SaaS, dev tools, physical AI, hardware, and inference.
Before venture, I started building early. Pre-college, I founded Aahar, a platform to redistribute surplus food, which grew into one of India’s largest food redistribution network across 60+ cities before being acquired by JITO. That experience shaped my understanding of building and scaling in resource-constrained environments.
Post-college, I joined the founding team of an early-stage startup in Palo Alto as a machine learning engineer. My role quickly expanded across product, GTM, sales, and fundraising, as we scaled from 0 to $5M ARR in two years. It gave me a ground-up view of how companies are built in the Valley.
Returning to India was a deliberate choice to combine my experience in technology and Silicon Valley pattern recognition with on-ground insight into building in emerging markets. I aim to bring that operator perspective into investing, not just capital.
I studied at IIT Delhi. Outside work, I’m a national-level tennis player, enjoy all racket sports, love thrillers, and am a lifelong Messi and Barcelona fan.
