Owning the Orchestration of Critical Construction

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of Zero RFI with KP Reddy to transform the speed and pace at which critical infrastructure is planned, built, and delivered.

KP Reddy is a legend in the construction technology market. He has spent more than two decades as a founder, operator, and investor across the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction), AI, robotics, and automation markets. A second-generation civil engineer who has founded and exited three companies and authored multiple books on construction tech, he knows that construction is an industry where depth of relationship, trusted partnerships, and domain expertise are critical. 

That’s why it has been our privilege to work with KP over the past year and a half as he sets out to modernize the commercial construction industry. Despite managing ~$10T annually in capital projects, the global construction industry is the only major sector with declining productivity over the past 60 years. Construction methods have not changed since the 1950s and struggle to keep pace with rising costs, labor shortages, and regulatory complexity.

Creating Foundational Intelligence

To accelerate our time-to-impact, Zero has acquired Brookwood Group and BuildingWorks, as well as KP Reddy Co. Brookwood Group is the pioneer in owner’s representative services. Since 1989, Brookwood has completed projects across the globe exceeding billions in project spend. Since 1999, BuildingWorks has been taking massive construction data sets for Owners to manage the building lifecycle. Using industry expertise and proprietary tech, they streamline documentation chaos to drive compliance and increase asset value. Finally, KP Reddy Co is the AEC industry’s premier innovation advisory firm, providing hands-on advisory as well as a leading global media platform for the built world.  

Beyond the Jobsite

Zero RFI’s company name is rooted in a familiar industry concept: “zero RFI,” or zero Requests for Information. It reflects a state in which project direction is so complete, coordinated, and unambiguous that no additional clarification is required. It’s rooted in the belief that clarity can emerge from complexity, and that the chaos long accepted in the built environment is not inevitable. Our goal is zero RFIs.

Construction faces a critical moment for our society today. We need to build more infrastructure, power, healthcare, education, and housing, faster and with a shrinking workforce. Every coordination failure that goes unresolved is a cost borne by the people on the other side of these projects. Developers and owner's reps leveraging AI can define the next era of construction delivery, compounding intelligence across every project they touch. Owning the orchestration layer is how this transformation begins. Outcome abundance for all stakeholders—buildings delivered on time, communities served, and a physical economy that finally scales—is not just our goal but a necessity.
